Do you build a golden set before you buy an AI tool? What goes in it?
IAIM's briefing describes a golden set as a few hundred real cases from your own work, each with an answer your experts agree is correct, plus a separate set of requests the system must refuse. It recommends running every candidate on it before buying and again after every change, because public benchmarks cannot show how a system handles your documents, your edge cases and your rules. The set belongs to the business owner of the system, with one named person who keeps it current.
