How ready is your organization to manage AI?

Sixteen statements across the eight areas of AI management, from strategy and ownership to law, security and measurement. About five minutes. You see your level at once, and we email you a report with where to focus next.

1Strategy and value

Every AI use case we fund has a measured baseline and a named owner for the value it should deliver.

Leadership can name the few AI priorities that matter most this year, and stops pilots that miss their targets.

2Ownership and operating model

We keep an up-to-date inventory of the AI systems in use, including tools staff adopted on their own.

A named executive sponsor and an AI lead (or AI Management Office) are accountable for the AI portfolio.

3Policy and conduct

A published AI use policy says which tools may be used with which data, and what a person must review.

Staff know the policy: it is part of onboarding and acknowledged at least once a year.

4Risk and responsible AI

Systems that influence decisions about people are risk-assessed and tested for unfair outcomes before launch.

An AI incident procedure says who can pause a system, who is told, and how lessons feed back into testing.

5Law and regulation

We know which AI laws apply where our customers and staff are (for example the EU AI Act and US state rules) and have mapped our systems against them.

Required notices are in place (for example, telling people when they interact with AI) and dated obligations sit in a compliance calendar.

6Data, privacy and security

Contracts with AI vendors prevent training on our data and set retention, deletion and sub-processor terms.

AI systems are reviewed for AI-specific security risks such as prompt injection, and agents have least-privilege access.

7Delivery and vendors

AI projects pass defined gates (design, pilot, scale) and a production-readiness checklist before wide rollout.

We choose AI vendors on evidence: trials on our own data, current security reports and an exit plan.

8People and measurement

Each team using AI has role-specific training, protected time to learn and a named champion.

We report AI results on quality, adoption, operations and business outcomes, not only on usage or estimated time saved.

9Where should we send your report?

Your level appears on this page as soon as you submit. The report with your area scores and next steps goes to this address.

We use your answers to prepare and email your report. See the privacy policy.

About the assessment

Practices, not opinions.

Each statement describes something an organization either does or does not do yet. The eight areas follow the AIMP curriculum and the structure of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001.

  • Private. Your answers are stored for your report and never published.
  • Honest. No benchmark scores until we have real data to compare against.
  • Useful. Every focus area comes with a next step you can take this month.
