Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of iaim.ai and everything you buy or join here: the Artificial Intelligence Management Professional (AIMP) certification, the renewal course, IAIM membership, the AIMO kit, the Practice Exam Pack and gift enrollments. They are provided by The Institute of Artificial Intelligence Management (“IAIM”, “we”, “us”), mailing address PO Box 3424, Merced, CA 95340. Questions: support@iaim.ai.
By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Your account
You need an account to take the course, read member content and download your documents. Keep your password private and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. One account is for one person; course access, the certificate and membership cannot be shared or transferred, except as described for gifts and organization seats below.
2. What you can buy, and what each includes
- AIMP certification. A one-time payment for access to the twelve-module course, the toolkit, review of one capstone submission plus one resubmission, the final exam (three attempts) and, when you pass, your certificate and public verification page. The course is self-paced with no deadline. The program and its requirements are described on the certification page and in the credential standard.
- AIMP Professional Bundle. A one-time payment for the AIMP certification, one year of the AIMP Certified tier (see section 4) and the Practice Exam Pack.
- AIMP renewal. A one-time payment (included in the AIMP Certified tier) for the renewal course and its exam, which extend your certified status by one year from your current expiry date (or from the day you complete the renewal, if your certification had already expired). Renewal is available for up to 12 months after the expiry date; after that, the certification can no longer be renewed and the full AIMP program must be completed again.
- IAIM membership. A recurring subscription; see section 4.
- AIMO kit and toolkit documents. A license to use the documents inside your own organization; see section 7. The Kit and Leadership Workshop and AIMO Implementation are agreed and invoiced separately, on the terms in the written booking or proposal.
- Practice Exam Pack. A one-time payment for practice questions with explanations. The questions are written for practice and are not taken from the final exam.
- Gift enrollments. A one-time payment for one AIMP enrollment for someone else. We email the recipient a single-use code; they enroll with their own account and these terms apply to them.
- Organization membership and seats. An annual organization membership covers a set number of member seats, and certification seats are bought at the published volume discounts. Seats are assigned by the organization’s administrators to named people, each with their own account.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout, with any member price applied automatically. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Organizations can ask to be invoiced. If a price shown on the site is wrong because of an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
4. Membership: automatic renewal and cancellation
- Price and term. IAIM Member costs $15 a month or $149 a year, and the AIMP Certified tier, for current AIMP holders, costs $229 a year (or the price shown when you join). Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and we charge the card on file, until you cancel. Members who joined before the prices introduced in 2026 keep their rate for 12 months from that change.
- Cancel online at any time. Go to your membership account and choose Pause or cancel, then Cancel membership. No call or email is needed. Your membership then does not renew, you are not charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We confirm every cancellation by email.
- Pause. Instead of canceling, you can pause for one to three months. You are not charged while paused, and the membership restarts automatically on the date shown, or earlier if you resume.
- Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we tell you by email before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we email you and try again; if it still cannot be collected, the membership ends.
- AIMP Certified tier. For holders of a current AIMP certification: every member benefit, the annual AIMP renewal at no extra charge and a listing in the AIMP Directory if you choose. It renews yearly like membership. A year of the tier included in the AIMP Professional Bundle does not renew automatically.
5. Refunds
AIMP enrollment fees, renewal fees, the AIMO kit, the Practice Exam Pack and gift enrollments are non-refundable once access has been granted, because the content is delivered digitally and immediately. Membership payments are not refunded for partial periods; when you cancel, you keep access to the end of the paid period. If something does not work as described, email support@iaim.ai and we will put it right. Nothing in these terms limits any refund right you have under the law that applies to you.
6. The certification
- How it is earned. You complete the twelve modules, submit a capstone plan that meets the published rubric, and pass the final exam (80 percent, up to three attempts).
- Capstone evaluation. Capstones are evaluated with AI assistance and human review against the published rubric. Borderline results and any appeal are decided by a person. You receive written feedback, and you can resubmit once.
- Validity and verification. AIMP is valid for one year from the date it is earned and can be renewed. Each certificate has a public verification page showing the holder’s name, the credential, the certificate ID, the issue and expiry dates and the current status, so that anyone you share it with can check it.
- Integrity. Your capstone must be your own work, and you may not share, copy or publish exam questions or answers. [Proposed, for IAIM to confirm: if we find that a credential was obtained by cheating or misrepresentation, we may withdraw it after telling you why and giving you a chance to respond, and the verification page will then show it as withdrawn.]
- What it is not. AIMP is a professional credential issued by IAIM. It is not a government license, an academic degree or an accreditation of your organization.
7. Course materials and documents
The course, the toolkit, the AIMO kit, the articles and everything else on the site are owned by IAIM or used with permission. You may use the documents you have access to inside your own work and organization, adapt them for that purpose and share them with colleagues in the same organization. You may not resell them, republish them, or make them available to other organizations. The documents are always available to download in their current version from your account while your access lasts.
8. Educational content, not legal or professional advice
The course and the articles explain laws, standards and practices for education. They are not legal, regulatory, financial or other professional advice for your situation. Laws change; check the current text and take advice from a qualified professional before acting.
9. Community and your contributions
In the members’ community, the directory and anywhere else you post, be accurate and respectful, do not share confidential information about your employer or clients, do not promote products, and do not post exam questions or answers. We may remove posts or listings that break these rules and suspend accounts that repeatedly do. You keep ownership of what you post and give IAIM permission to display it on the site.
10. Affiliates and sponsors
Affiliates are bound by the affiliate agreement, which requires them to disclose clearly that they are paid for referrals. Sponsored placements are always labeled as sponsored. Neither affects what we teach or publish.
11. Availability and changes to the program
We keep the course current and may update modules, documents and exam questions. Updates do not reduce what you bought: if we change the program, what you have already completed counts. We try to keep the site available at all times but cannot promise it will never be interrupted.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, IAIM is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is explained in the privacy policy.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If a dispute arises, please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly. Courts in California have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not apply retroactively to purchases you have already made, and we will email members about any change that affects their membership before it applies.
