Who receives it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use these service providers, who process it for us under contract:
- Stripe (through WooCommerce Payments and Paid Member Subscriptions) to process card payments.
- Our hosting provider to host the site, its database and our email.
- Google: Google Analytics to measure how the site is used.
- Anthropic, whose AI model assists in evaluating capstone submissions against the rubric. Your capstone document is sent for that purpose only; a person reviews borderline results.
- Telegram, which our staff use for internal alerts about new requests and capstones awaiting a decision; an alert can contain the name, organization and email in a request.
- LinkedIn receives your certificate details only if you choose to add the credential to your profile.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of IAIM, in which case this policy continues to apply. If your organization bought your seat, your organization’s administrators can see your name, email, progress, status and certificate dates.
Cookies
We use cookies that the site needs to work (signing in, the cart and checkout, remembering choices), security and performance cookies, and Google Analytics cookies to measure use. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site needs the essential ones to let you sign in and buy.
How long we keep it
- Account, course and certificate records: while your account exists, and certificate records for as long as a certificate can be verified, so that it stays checkable.
- Orders and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually seven years.
- Capstone documents: until your evaluation is complete and for [period to be confirmed] afterwards, for appeals and quality review.
- Assessment results and form requests: [retention period to be confirmed]. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can see and update most of your information in your account. You can unsubscribe from the briefing and from reminder emails with the link in each email, and remove your directory listing in your portal.
You can also ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to give you a copy, or to delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for using them; residents of other states and countries may have similar rights. Email support@iaim.ai from the address on your account (or let us verify you another way) and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can use an authorized agent. Some information we must keep, for example order records required for tax and the records behind an issued certificate.
Security
We protect the site with encrypted connections, access controls, security monitoring and regular updates. Paid documents and capstone files are stored where they cannot be reached by a direct link. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
The site is for adults and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version; we will email account holders about material changes.
